Welcome
to the Mount Shadwell Hotel!
Relax
in the tranquillity of a fine country hotel with historic charm.
The beautiful bluestone façade of the 1850's hotel is complemented
by the bluestone front of The Stables Motel, incorporating five
deluxe motel units, including a four star unit with luxury spa.
Quality country cuisine, together with fine wining and dining, are
a staple of the Mt Shadwell Hotel, while weddings, conferences,
meetings and private parties are readily catered for at The Loft
conference room.
The Mt Shadwell Hotel was Mortlake's first
and was built in 1855, although the present façade dates
from 1928. The Stables were originally erected in 1863, but burned
down twice, in 1899 and 1909. In times past it served not only as
a stable but also hosted activities such as boxing and ten-pin bowling.
The current motel units were built in 1994, tastefully maintaining
links with the past whilst offering well appointed modern accommodation.
The Hotel is a member of the RACV.
